New Zealand Earthquake Reconstruction Positions

Christchurch Earthquake Recovery Authority (CERA)

We have a number of earthquake reconstruction roles.  The roles would particularly suit Irish Site and Resident Engineers with highways and infrastructure experience.

Roles required include:

• Project Directors
• Project Managers
• Contract Managers
• Geotechnical Engineers (seismic experience highly desirable)
• Senior, Intermediate and Junior Project Engineers
• Quantity Surveyors
• Civil Estimators
• Programme Managers

You will need tertiary qualifications in your disciplines and good experience in civil, roading or infrastructure project environments.  Both permanent and contract roles are available. Salaries will be negotiated at very competitive levels according to experience.

People with good roading and/or infrastructure project experience who just want to come to NZ for a short time can be accommodated for 6 or 12 month contracts. This could suit Irish Engineers looking to have some good work down under as part of their world travels.

There are no position descriptions at this stage for the positions involved. The key initial requirements are for Site Engineers at Junior (3-5 years) Intermediate (5-8 years) and Senior (10 years +) levels, Geotechnical Engineers and Project Managers. These people should be degree qualified in their discipline and have experience in roading and/or water/wastewater, piping and drainage infrastructure projects.
